Fans of motorcycle racing and handheld game consoles should be really happy as Nobilis decided to offer some brand new details for their Nintendo DS version of Moto Racer, the multi-discipline motorcycle racing title. Unfortunately, they have not given us the most important detail we wanted to know: when they are going to release the game. But we're waiting, since their generic "Q4 of 2008" means we could have it just in time for Christmas.

Until then, if you are wondering why Moto Racer DS is called a multi-discipline racing game, here are the reasons: it is the only title to offer Moto GP, Traffic, Supercross or Freestyle modes - all in only one release, without extra DLC, expansions or patches. In a few words, this means that it's something incredible.

Also, this new version designed by Nobilis specifically for the DS will offer an exclusive "Stylus Precision Handling" control scheme which will make your life easier as a motorcycle rider, by allowing you to take the sharpest curves and perform the best tricks. The exact mechanics of this control method have not been detailed, though, but we can understand that - every developer prefers to keep a few secrets about its creation.

However, it's no secret that each of the game types comes with various modes: for example, the Moto GP allows you to become a true speed devil in four different modes: championship, single race, time trial, and multiplayer. Also, 12 different motorcycles and 18 tracks are included, so you've got some road-practice to do. Traffic allows you to go downtown and perform the zaniest tricks or challenge your friends to a duel via the Wi-Fi connection. You'll get eight crazy motorcycles and ten tracks to satisfy your need of adrenaline. The Supercross comes with four modes - championship, single race, time trial, and multi-player, a dozen motorcycles and tracks, while the Freestyle type with 12 motorcycles, 4 tracks, 16 tricks to master and lots of records for you to break - everything controlled by your stylus only!

All these details mean just one thing: Nobilis is right to be very excited about its Moto Racer project. Let's just hope the developers don't get too excited and forget to implement everything correctly.
