If you remember a very old (but evergreen, on the other hand) game called Tetris, you might also remember the countless hours you spent (or wasted, as your parents would say) playing it. Probably there are still a few people who would love to get the chance and play once more a next-gen version of the beloved Tetris - for them, I have some really great piece of news! Dropcast, a combination between the aforementioned Tetris and the Meteos game, will be released this fall exclusively for the Nintendo DS handheld by THQ.

The game promises to test your mind with a mix of puzzle solving and battle mechanics thanks to the combination between the two bestselling games. And this means only one thing: addiction, so you'd better prepare yourself for it. You still have the time, though, since the game will only be released worldwide on the 22nd of September this year.

Unlike other similar titles, Dropcast comes with a story, too - a rather strange one, which makes it even better. Ingrid, the game's main character, is a girl who didn't like the way her friends were playing, so she decided to make some new ones, from her stuffed animals! So, she somehow manages to bring her toys to life but she does not do a great job, since the poor little animals have no skills. There is no problem, though, since Ingrid will teach them all there is to know by using 24 spells - the exact same number of spells the players will use in the game.

Dropcast promises endless hours of fun with its ever changing combination of puzzles which will make sure you'll never ever play the same game twice. And with 24 spells to use and up to four people able to play the game on the same cartridge, just imagine how cool everything will be!
