14 DAY TRIAL // L’Escapadou, a family design studio that develops fun, creative and educational applications for iPad and iPhone, recently announced the release of Montessori Crosswords Lite 1.0 for the iPad and the iPhone. This is the free version of the addictive and fun game that targets kids and helps them develop their writing and reading skills based on the proven Montessori learning method.
Unlike the full version of the game, the lite version only features a limited set of words (32 on the 282 available) and visual effects (3 on the 21 available).
Montessori Crosswords Lite 1.0 also features the full version of the standalone Movable Alphabet.
Further, the lite version has been developed to offer players the possibility to to try the full version before they buy it.
The original game was created after the developers watched their daughter having fun with another application called Montessori picture-spelling activity.
L’Escapadou developers decided to include direct interactions, animations and sounds, as well as automatic crosswords construction to the game, as well as some of the main features offered by the iOS platform.

Universal application (Retina display on iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4); Includes 32 different word and picture combinations (282 in full version); Level 1 displays simple words for beginning readers; Levels 2 and 3 automatically create multi-word crosswords in hundreds of different combinations, encouraging unlimited repeat play; Choose capital or lower-case letter display; Organize letters alphabetically or Montessori style (vowels first, followed by consonants); Displays the total number of completed words; Uses Montessori standard colors for vowels and consonants.
Montessori Crosswords Lite 1.0 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices running iOS 3.1 or later.
The game can be downloaded for free from the AppStore, it doesn't require any registration and is add-free.
