Beside their Collaborate all-in-one solution, ClearOne has decided to also bring two new speakerphones to the market today, targeting two of the best-known online communication platforms, namely Microsoft Lync and Skype.

The two devices in question are the CHAT 70-U (designed specifically to work with Lync) and CHAT 60-U (for Skype), both of which offer a variety of functions and features tailored to the needs of people who wish to engage in conferences over the Internet.

The new USB-powered speakerphones come packed with integrated call controls placed right on the device that enable users to easily adjust the speaker volume, mute the audio, as well as end the call.

Plus, a blue LED light will immediately start shimmering when calls are in progress.

Furthermore, these two new communication devices also embed ClearOne's HDConference technologies, consisting of such features as coustic echo cancellation, noise cancellation and automatic audio level control, all of which are meant to provide users with a very good communication experience, practically eliminating the space barriers between users, even if they're many miles apart.

Plus, it's also important to note that, despite being designed specifically to work with the Unified Communications software or VoIP services, they're also work with other types of applications running on the computers they're connected to, although ClearOne has refrained from providing any extra info on what exactly those applications might be.

According to ClearOne, both models should become available for purchase in early Q2, 2011, the CHAT 70-U (for Lync) being priced at $159.99, while the CHAT 60-U (for Skype) will sell for around $149.99.

And although none of these price points is particularly low, the truth of the matter is that, by using the services they enable, customers will actually save a whole lot more (at least as far as travel expenses are concerned).
