The new handset is the first smartphone powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system the carrier adds to its offering, and is set to provide a wide range of productivity and organization capabilities to those who are on the go most of the time.
The Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system on MetroPCS’ Samsung Code comes with the entire Microsoft suite of tools, such as contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, voice recorder and Windows Live features. Moreover, the handset also sports the optional WizPro interface that enables users to perform customizations for their home screen, as well as to create shortcuts to the apps and features they use the most, including messages, calendar appointments and more.

The new Windows Mobile-powered device is available from MetroPCS at a price tag of $299, and can be purchased from any MetroPCS company-owned retail locations and authorized dealers.
