Dallas-based MetroPCS Communications, Inc., the mobile phone carrier that offers unlimited, flat-rate, no signed contract wireless communications services, has announced today that it has extended its coverage to more areas in the United States. Thus, the MetroPCS Unlimited Nationwide service is now available in areas of the Midwest, Northwest and parts of the Eastern United States, the company says.

According to the carrier, the new expansion offers it the possibility to almost double the number of cities and towns that can benefit from MetroPCS Unlimited Nationwide. More than 11,000 cities in the continental United States are now offered connectivity from the company. Moreover, MetroPCS also says that the new expansion has been performed at no cost for its current $40 and higher rate plans.

“This expansion represents even more value and convenience to our customers,” said Roger Linquist, chairman, president and chief executive officer of MetroPCS. “With the expanded MetroPCS Unlimited NationwideSM service, customers will have the opportunity to use their MetroPCS service as they travel throughout the United States. This is yet again another example of how MetroPCS continues to provide its customers with greater service, flexibility and convenience at a lower cost.”

As many of you might already know, MetroPCS offers its services with plans that range from $30 to $50 per month, and which enable users to talk limitlessly at any given time. Moreover, the carrier does not ask for its users to sign a contract, and they can activate the service without a credit check or paying a deposit.

A series of unlimited family plans and unlimited international calling options are also available for users, the carrier adds. Users can call over 100 countries and more than 1,000 destinations while only paying an additional $5 per month with a $45 and higher rate plan. More details on MetroPCS' offering can be found either at the company's current authorized dealer locations or on its website.
