Megan Fox, admittedly the most beautiful woman to grace the movie screens this year as several men’s magazines have named her, has quite a reputation for making strange statements, from forgetting her age to saying, almost in the same breath, that she’s very insecure and incredibly confident. In her recent interview with Wonderland magazine, Fox makes it even more personal by saying she fears a death like Marilyn Monroe’s.

The actress believes she has a mental problem, although she is still to determine what that might be. As per Fox’s own words for the aforementioned magazine and cited by The Examiner, she believes she’s suffering from schizophrenia and might find her end at an early age, just like the ultimate Hollywood diva did. The “Transformers” star came to this conclusion by reading all the books that have been written on Marilyn throughout the years, she adds.

“I basically read every book ever written about Marilyn Monroe.” Fox tells Wonderland, the same magazine where she’s also featured in a stunning ‘80s-inspired photospread in the golden desert, as we also informed you yesterday. “I could end up like that because I constantly struggle with the idea that I think I’m a borderline personality – or that I have bouts of mild schizophrenia. I definitely have some kind of mental problem and I haven’t pinpointed what it is.” Megan further explains.

While fans can’t but hope that the gorgeous actress gets the help she needs in time to prevent a tragedy, they also fervently wish she wouldn’t rely for it entirely on her skills and sought professional help, if that’s what she deems necessary. Then, as The Examiner also points out, there is also the issue of Fox doing her homework better than that before making this type of statements.

“Marilyn did seek treatment for her ailments although she lived only to 36 years of age. Treatment and medications are much better now, however, than they were during Marilyn’s day. For the record, Marilyn did not suffer from schizophrenia. She had ‘manic depression,’ which is now called bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is characterized by abnormal mood elevations (mania) and extreme depressions, like a rollercoaster. Often there are periods classified as normal in between, which appears to be Marilyn’s pattern.” the e-zine writes.
