For British magazine Wonderland

Megan Fox of the “Transformers” fame is stunning. Often labeled as the “poor man’s Angelina Jolie” because age seems to work to her disadvantage in terms of sophistication and class, this gorgeous actress can also cut a very stylish appearance, as is the case of the latest photospread for the British Wonderland magazine. Photographed by Mariano Vivanco, Fox is a vision of beauty and elegance in ‘80s-inspired clothes.

With perfectly tanned skin, plenty of golden makeup and oversized jewelry, Vivanco managed to capture a side of Fox that few fans probably knew: while still emanating an undeniable sense of confidence, she also came across as slightly vulnerable, overpowered as she was by everything that surrouneds her, from the scorching desert sun to the gowns she wore. The same photospread also shows Fox as the entire world knows her: beautiful and, to some extent, distant in the sense she’s precisely what the world wants her to be, without revealing too much of her true self.

Speaking of which, just recently, Fox was telling Cosmopolitan magazine that, despite all appearances, she was incredibly insecure, which made it so that she was constantly on her guard as to how much of herself she allowed the public to see. Beauty, it seems, does not guarantee around-the-clock self-confidence and Megan Fox would be the best example to illustrate that, granted she truly meant what she told Cosmopolitan, several US celebrity blogs point out.

“I’m very confident in how I project my personality. But in terms of how I look, I’m completely, hysterically insecure.” Fox tells Cosmopolitan. As a matter of fact, she is so insecure that many a time she wishes she could just go away or, at least, do something to divert attention from herself to someone else. As luck would have it, there is no way she could ever pass unnoticed. “I don’t like being seen. I want to be invisible. I’m self-loathing, introverted and neurotic.” Fox further explains.

Of course, the above comes to contradict everything else Fox has ever said in past interviews, about how she had the utmost confidence in her body and acting abilities, and especially how she was so overflowing with self-confidence she actually liked to use it to play tricks with people’s (men’s) minds.
