Megan Fox loves her tattoos so much she would often say in interviews she could not even imagine the day she wouldn’t get a new one. Of the lot, though, she has grown to dislike her Marilyn Monroe piece, which she is now having removed.

In the past, the former “Transformers” stunner has identified with the tragic actress, saying they both suffered from bipolar disorder: the tattoo was, in fact, a reminder to avoid Marilyn’s mistakes.

In recent months, Megan has had a definite change of heart, which was also reflected in her tattoo. On a recent public outing, it became clear that she was having it removed because its edges had become very blurry.

Speaking with Amica magazine (quotes via the Daily Mail), Fox confirms that, indeed, she’s in the process of having Marilyn removed from her arm for good – and she even explains her reason for it.

As she sees it, Monroe is not exactly a good model and Megan doesn’t want to attract negative energy onto herself, by having her face etched on her arm.

“I’m removing it. It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar,” the actress says after her change of heart.

“I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life,” Megan adds.

The other tattoos, though, are staying in place for the time being.

In the same interview, Fox also reveals this is not the only adornment on her body she grew to resent: the same happened with her navel piercing that she got when she was a teenager.

“I did it when I was 16-years-old because I was a fan of Britney Spears. The only time I tried to imitate someone else,” Megan explains.

“But then I thought it was tacky and so I removed it when I turned 20,” she adds.

Megan’s other tattoos include husband Brian’s name etched on her lower abdomen, a tribal piece on her wrist and three quotes on her back and ribcage.
