The Wii controller has a lot of fancy features

While some developers are starting to stay clear of the Wii and the console's future software support is beginning to look more and more like it will be supplied solely by Nintendo, the hardware industry is still hard at work collaborating with the console.

There's a new controller coming out for the Wii, and it's not just another fancy-colored Wii Remote. This time around, Mad Catz has prepared another FightStick, so Wii brawlers can get down to some serious bone-crushing, eye-blackening action.

Accompanying the US release of Tatsunoko VS. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars on January 2010, third-party interactive entertainment accessory provider Mad Catz has put together a special Tatsunoko VS. Capcom-themed Arcade FightStick for Nintendo's Wii, and it sounds like they've put a lot of work into it. The artwork of the FightStick was done by famous Japanese artist Shinkiro, but the hardware part of it has received tons of attention as well.

Each button features a Dual-speed Turbo functionality, as well as LED indicators, while the eight-button arcade configuration will still keep players into a familiar ground. A built-in D-Pad switch enables Left or Right Analog Sticks for the D-Pad, while the lock feature will keep our mind focused on the game and not on accidental miss-firings.

“Capcom is pleased to continue working with Mad Catz to introduce the FightStick to the Wii community and allow fans of Tatsunoko VS. Capcom to experience the game in the way it was meant to be played,” said Christian Svensson, the vice president of business development & strategic planning at Capcom Entertainment, Inc. “Many Wii owners are already enjoying Capcom fighting games via the Virtual Console facility and with the launch of Tatsunoko VS. Capcom, we thought it important to give our fan base the opportunity to play with the Arcade FightStick.”
