In addition to the Iconia Smart and liquidmini, Acer brought to this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the Acer Liquid E Ferrari special edition smartphone, and Softpedia's editors had the chance to play with it for a few minutes. According to Acer, some of the main features of this device would include: Passion, Sophistication, High performance, Exclusivity and Fully-equipped.

The Acer Liquid E Ferrari special edition is unique, being dressed all in red, with a specially crafted design, and with capabilities that remind us of luxury objects.

The specifications list of this device would include a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, with the legendary “Scuderia Ferrari” shield on the back, which sports carbon fiber details, a redesigned microphone and powerful performance capabilities.

The smartphone was announced officially last year with 512MB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, 256MB of RAM, and 3.5 mm audio jack.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8250 768 MHz processor, the handset boasts a 480 x 800 pixels resolution on that capacitive touchscreen, 3G HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2.0 Mbps, WLAN Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and A-GPS.

Acer Liquid E Ferrari is powered by a Li-Ion 1350 mAh battery, with the Acer UI 3.0 on top of Google's Android 2.1 operating system.

The mobile phone also comes with great multimedia capabilities, including support for MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ file formats, video recording, web browsing, and more.

However, the specifications list is not what attracts users towards this device, but rather the personalization that Acer announced for it: - The Ferrari wallpaper brightens up the 5-page home page for total immersion into the roaring world of Formula 1. - Stunning images and videos are always at your fingertips. - A special set of ringtones allows you to personalize your phone with the inimitable sweet music of the Ferrari engine.
