The handset provides a large array of features

Recently, Sony Ericsson released the new M600 handset which is based on the previous P990 platform from last year.

Many of the predecessor's features can still be found including 3G, high resolution of 240 x 320 in 262K colors on the 2.6 inch touch-sensitive display, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth with A2DP stereo audio. Media capabilities include the playback of MP3/ACC formats and video recording at 30 fps. The phone provides storage of 80MB, expandable by using Memory Stick Micro cards.

The software offer is wide; it includes Opera 8, RSS feed support, Adobe Acrobat viewer, PowerPoint, Word and Excel editors .

The handset also supports many features of group e-mail for business users including RIM - BlackBerry Connect, Vista, Seven, AlteXia, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, iAnywhere OneBridge.

The regional variations of the phone are: M600i - Dual Mode UMTS 2100 MHz, GPRS 900/1800/1900MHz for Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas; M600c - Dual Mode UMTS 2100 MHz, GPRS 900/1800/1900MHz for Mainland China. There will also be 4 variations of the keyboard layout: QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY and Russian.

The M600 is currently available in both black and white versions and will start shipping during the second quarter of 2006.
