A new Z phone coming from Motorola

Some images of a new Motorola slider phone have sprung out over the last few days, showing that the company is not wasting time and makes efforts to come up with new phone models. Motorola Marco was in the shadow up to this point, but has sprung out through a series of leaked images.

Motorola really needs a new phone concept in order to regain the second place as world mobile phone producer that it has recently lost. Samsung has surpassed this company but still holds a small head start from it, which gives hopes to Motorola to win back the second place.

Unfortunately for them, the Marco slider phone resembles up to a great extent, probably too great, the previous Z3 handset models. They failed to become the success that Motorola expected them to be, so this new mobile phone should manage to pack huge performances in order to make up for the association with previous disappointments.

It looks like Motorola Marco prides with its Wi-Fi performances, one feature which other phone models have failed in efficiently providing up to this point. The handset runs on a JUIX operating system and has quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity.

Motorola Marco comes equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, a pretty average performance. Other specifications also include Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity, as well as a microSD card slot for making sure that the user does not run out of data storage space.

From what we can see, the handset holds nothing special to revolutionize the mobile phone market. It is probably unfair to expect such performances from Motorola every time it launches a new phone model, but it's just a hope that they keep failing to make true, although it could bring them great benefit.

The release date for Motorola Marco has been set for the 8th of January 2008, which leaves a large amount of time to wait for it.
