14 DAY TRIAL // After months of dating and taking the time to rubbish regular reports of an engagement, singer and actress LeAnn Rimes is happy to announce her engagement to actor Eddie Cibrian – on her Twitter
page.
The couple, who met on the set of a movie while both were married, got engaged over the weekend and are still having some problems coming to grips with the idea, LeAnn says.
This also means that, so far, they haven’t talked about the wedding yet. They did, however, spent the Christmas break crying tears of joys and not being able to believe just how lucky they’ve been to find each other.
“It was nice to have our little secret for us our families and friend’s a few days! So excited to now share the wonderful news with our fans,” LeAnn wrote on her Twitter page.
She later returned to offer more explanations and, at the same time, to thank her fans and followers for their nice words of support and encouragement.
“Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future. It’s been an incredible last few days, I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love,” the singer says.
“For those who haven’t read, Eddie and I got engaged over the holidays. That’s the news. It’s for real this time and the first time EVER!” she says, referring to those many reports that made the rounds earlier about their future plans.
“So funny, my dear publicist is the same rep for Natalie Portman and me. So much for his vacation lol!!! Love you Rhett!!!!!” Rimes says.
Natalie Portman also recently announced she’s engaged – and pregnant to boot, as we also informed you hours ago.
“The ring is out there. Someone got a shot of us at the beach, so that’s not much a secret, but the rest is very personal and sweet. I was shocked to say the least,” Rimes adds.
People magazine has a first photo of the couple at the beach, with LeAnn showing off her massive diamond ring, as well as confirmation (if any was needed anymore) from her rep that she’s engaged and will soon be Mrs. Eddie Cibrian.
