When speculation started to make the rounds that perhaps she was pushing herself too much with her current tour, after she seemed positively exhausted during a recent live gig, Lady Gaga responded, in more or less the same words, that she would rather die than stop doing what she’s doing. True to her word, the hitmaker is already working on her next album, while also touring with the Monster Ball tour, AceShowbiz reports.

Fresh off the release (and unparalleled success) of her latest music video, for “Telephone,” a collaboration with Beyonce, Gaga has started working on her next video. Not only that, but she’s also begun recording some things for her upcoming studio material, her third to date, as she reveals herself in an interview cited by the aforementioned e-zine. As of now, Gaga won’t say the direction said album will take but, knowing her, it will undoubtedly prove a smashing hit, taking down record after record, just like her previous two releases.

“While staying in Australia, Lady Gaga continued doing radio interviews in the country. After talking about her ‘almost-collapsed’ experience and ‘Alejandro’ music video in previous radio visits, the dance queen opted to spill the beans on her next studio album in a recent interview with 2DayFM,” AceShowbiz says. The “almost-collapsed” experience prompted the comment mentioned above, that she would rather die than stop or disappoint fans.

‘I'm really excited about my third album. I'm really really excited. Well, I'm working on it now and I've already written kind of the core of it, so I'm just kind of continuing to travel around the world and just make something great. It's certainly my best work to date,” Gaga stated during the aforementioned interview. She wouldn’t go into details though, which is completely understandable at this point. However, more details on it should emerge once she’s done touring, that is, supporting her latest album.

Speaking of touring, Lady Gaga wraps the European leg of the Monster Ball tour on June 4. Throughout June 28 – September 19, the singer will be touring North America. For more on the upcoming album, stay tuned here and we’ll keep you updated.
