Similar to all of the other major CE manufacturers out there, LG came prepared for this year's International CES with plenty of cool surprises, including here a new monitor line-up, known as the SUPER LED series. One of the first models in the new SUPER LED family is the E2290V, one of the thinnest such products around (just 7.2-mm thick), whose power source has been embedded in the thicker bezel (a cabling solution called EZ-cabling).

Additional features provide by this ultra-slim display include Full HD resolution, LED backlighting, and a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio, as well as a response time of just 2ms.

LG also presented its new SUPER+(Plus) Resolution function, available with the E2341V series, whose purpose is to up-scale standard-definition content to high resolution.

The same line comes with SUPER Energy Saving technology, meaning that they require a lot less power to work than other LED PC monitors out there (and that goes for the entire SUPER LED family from LG).

Another member of the SUPER LED family is the new IPS236V monitor, featuring In Plane Switching (IPS) technology and LED backlighting, that boasts 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, Full HD 1080p resolution and a truly impressive contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.

“As a leader in the LED monitor market, LG is preparing to take customer satisfaction to new heights with its brand new premium monitors,” said Si Hwan Park, Vice President of Monitor Division of LG Home Entertainment Company.

“With their stunningly original design and technology features, LG’s SUPER LED monitors set a new benchmark for style and performance in premium monitors,” added Mr. Park.

Unfortunately, the company's not been exactly willing to share any info on the pricing and/or availability of their brand-new monitors, but we hope that they'll reveal more info on these topics in the coming weeks.
