It seems that Canadian mobile phone users are now able to enjoy two more handsets that made it into the country recently. One of them is the LG Rumour (and the spelling is said to be the right one in Canada), while the other one is the Samsung Onmia, which was announced to become available in the country a few weeks ago.

The LG Rumour is reported to have been added to the lineup of PC Mobile (or President’s Choice Telecom), while sporting a full-QWERTY keypad and a sliding form factor. The handset includes a 1.3-megapixel photo snapper, as well as music player, all the standard apps including a contacts manager, calculator, calendar, speakerphone and more, and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.

PC Mobile has the new LG Rumour available for $99, but users are also able to opt for a bundle with a Bluetooth headset and vehicle power adapter, which would cost them a total of $129. The offer includes free unlimited text messaging for two months, and is reported to run until the end of April, so those who would like to have it should hurry up.

The second device to make it to Canada is the Samsung Omnia. After announcing it a few weeks ago, the company is listing it on its site only now, with CDMA 800 / 1900 connectivity and EVDO REV A for data, along with the 3.2-inch touchscreen display able to provide a 240 x 400-pixel resolution, as well as support for 65K colors. It seems that the Samsung Omnia will soon become available at Bell and Telus.

Here's what Samsung says about the device on its site: “SAMSUNG’s OMNIA is here. Experience tactile feedback with the TouchWiz UI and drag and drop Widgets to create a custom navigation screen. The 5 MP camera vividly captures life’s key moments, while the video editor allows you to alter clips on the go. Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional brings your personal computer experience on the go, and with OMNIA’s on-screen QWERTY keypad replying to e-mail is easier than ever.”

Details on Omnia have already emerged on the web, yet we'll note that the handset measures 112 x 56.9 x 12.5 mm and weighs 123 g, while packing a battery able to offer up to 330 minutes of talk time as well as up to 300 hours of standby time. The handset will also include a nice range of multimedia features, as well as 8 GB of internal memory, coupled with a memory card slot that offers support for up to 16 GB of additional storage space.
