LG Optimus One, one of the newly unveiled Android-based handsets from the South Korean mobile phone maker, is expected to become available for purchase on the market in the United States in the near future, on the airwaves of at least two wireless carriers there, including T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

Previous rumors on this device pointed towards it set to make an appearance at Verizon Wireless as LG Vortex, and some more info on the matter emerged.

Moreover, the handset also emerged in new series of photos over at Engadget, which has it that we should see it packing a 600MHz processor inside, while featuring no FM radio when made available for purchase.

However, we should expect for LG Vortex to land with the new Android 2.2 Froyo operating system on board, while packing a Bing application (the result of a collaboration between Verizon and Microsoft), just the same as the recently released Samsung Fascinate did.

Of course, no specific info on when the new mobile phone would make an official appearance on Big Red's airwaves emerged, but chances are that this would happen in the near future.

While there are not too many new details available on what the Verizon-bound LG Vortex would include, some very interesting details emerged on the LG Optimus One headed for T-Mobile.

Among these pieces of info, we can count the fact that it might bring forth Wi-Fi Calling, just as TmoNews pointed at recently.

Previous rumors did suggest that T-Mobile might be set to carry the LG Optimus One on its airvawes, but nothing solid on the matter emerged until now.

With a 3.2-inch touchscreen display on board, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, a 1,500 mAh battery inside, support for Google Maps and HTML web browsing, the phone should prove pretty appealing, though it won't be included in the carrier's high-end lineup, that's for sure.
