A new appealing mobile phone is headed for the market in the UK, namely the white flavor of the LG Optimus 3D, which was made official not too long ago with Google's Android operating system on board.

The handset would be released in white in the UK via Phones 4u, which managed to ink an exclusive deal on this device.

The retailer has already put up a special web page on its site, offering users the possibility to sign-up to be informed on the availability of the new device.

The LG Optimus 3D White will be available to buy in the near future. To be alerted by e-mail as soon as this comes into stock simply fill out the following details,” the said page reads.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the LG Optimus 3D was unveiled in February during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

It arrives on shelves as the very first smartphone to pack 3D capabilities, though it would be followed by more such handsets, coming from other handset vendors as well.

The LG Optimus 3D comes to the market with a glasses-free 4.3-inch WVGA screen, which hides a 1GHz Dual-Core Dual-Channel processor beneath it (a Texas Instruments OMAP4).

Moreover, the device comes with dual 5-megapixel lens camera on the back, enabling it to capture 3D videos and photos.

The handset also comes with support for 3D (up to 720p) multimedia content, while offering users the possibility to view it on 3D TVs and monitors via a HDMI 1.4 connection.

The specifications list of the new device also includes HSPA+, DLNA/HDMI 1.4, WiFi, and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as built-in GPS receiver, or a 1,500 mAh battery.

The mobile phone was launched with Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system on board, but should taste Android 2.3 Gingerbread too in the near future.
