14 DAY TRIAL // Kimberly Stewart is expecting her first child. Actor Benicio del Toro is the father, presumably after a one night stand. Following reports that dad Rod Stewart was fuming mad at the unexpected pregnancy, the two put up a united front on a public outing.
As we also noted a few days ago, Kimberly and Benicio are probably not planning to marry since they’re not even a couple. Word has it they only dated once, and that the child was conceived that night.
Rod Stewart, Kimberly’s father, who reportedly continues to pay her a considerable monthly allowance so she doesn’t have to work, is upset that his daughter got pregnant this way.
If that’s the case, the iconic singer certainly didn’t reveal any sign of resentment the other night, when he took Kim and the family out to dinner, as the Daily Mail also notes.
This officially marks the first time that a pregnant Kimberly is seen in public after the shock announcement.
“Her father, rocker Rod Stewart, joined the socialite, 33, for dinner at Il Sole restaurant in West Hollywood last night along with her brother Sean, 30,” the Mail writes.
Photos show that Kim appeared to try and “hide” the baby bump under a very long and rather shapeless gown, the same publication believes.
“The blonde’s baby burgeoning bump was visible despite her apparent attempt to disguise it under a flowing print dress,” says the Mail.
“While the 66-year-old [Rod] had forbidden any comment or congratulatory statement on topic of his daughter’s pregnancy by his PR, Arnold Stiefel, the family outing made it clear she has his support,” the British tab further notes.
This should put to rest rumors that Rod was angry at Benicio for getting his daughter “casually” pregnant and, at the same time, at Kimberly for not being safe and thus having a baby before she could have a career to sustain the family she wants to start.
