In June this year, Kendra Wilkinson, former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, announced that she was expecting a child with then-fiancé now-husband Hank Baskett. A few weeks later, the star revealed they would have a baby boy, much to Hank’s delight. In the meantime, she’s been enjoying her pregnancy, about which she gushes to the latest issue of In Touch magazine.

Celebrities have made a habit of talking to the media about the many ways in which their body and everything else in their life changes once they are with child. Kendra is no exception to this, telling the US mag that being pregnant was definitely one of the happiest periods in her life. Sure, she did gain weight and has seen some childhood cravings return, but all the time she’s spent focusing on her and her baby’s health. What’s more important, she’s happy and enjoying being pregnant, she says.

“I have gained 40 pounds. I still have a month-and-a-half to go. I was 110 or 115 and now weigh 150. Even though I don’t usually eat much meat, I’ve been eating a lot of ribs with barbecue sauce and steak. Also, my craving for chocolate came back. I never ate it before.” the star explains. As for knowing that they’re expecting a baby boy, Kendra says Hank couldn’t possibly be more thrilled than he is right now. Hank will make a great dad, the blonde stunner is convinced.

“The best role model in the whole world! I am so happy we’re having a boy first because I am excited to see the relationship between little Hank and Hank. I want him to be himself, but also have the same characteristics as Hank.” she says. And, while she’s gushing about Hank’s parental abilities, fans will remember she was quite set against the Gosselins, yet another couple of famous parents, not long ago, when she was telling the media she couldn’t imagine a bigger mistake a parent could do than having their child exposed to the cameras.

Because of this, Kendra and Hank decided their child would not get too much screen time on their reality show on E!. As Wilkinson put it a while back, exploiting the children for financial gain, the way the Gosselins had done with their TLC reality show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” meant certain ruin for the kids later on in life.
