Kendra Wilkinson confirms she and fiancé Hank Baskett are expecting their first child

Kendra Wilkinson, once known only as second or third fiddle for Hugh Hefner, is now a successful reality star and soon to be mother. Kendra, who is currently preparing for wedding to footballer fiancé Hank Baskett, has just confirmed for E! Online that they are to become happy parents in a few months from now on.

“Hank and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first child together. We are touched by the outpouring of support by our family, friends and fans.” a joint statement from the couple to E! reads. Kendra does not say how far along she is, but speculation goes that the pregnancy was nothing accidental, especially since the blonde discussed the topic before and said they were already talking babies even if they were not even married yet.

Speaking of marriage, the couple’s wedding ceremony will take place on June 27, following an almost one-year engagement, which started when Baskett popped the big question to Kendra at the top of Seattle’s Space Needle, as E! reports. The blonde star is also seeing one of her best periods yet professionally, with her new reality show, “Kendra,” premiering on E! with an audience of 2.6 million viewers, which makes it the second biggest debut in the history of the network after Anna Nicole Smith’s show.

At the beginning of the year, Kendra Wilkinson made headlines when she spoke for the first time after leaving the Playboy Mansion about how life with Hugh Hefner was. The star said that, while she did not mind not being the only human in Hef’s life, the price she paid was more than she had hoped. “Besides the nights we went out, I only saw Hef, like, once a day walking through the halls to his office. There were never solo dates. The most we kind of say to each other is, ‘I love you,’ ‘Love you too,’ ‘I hope you have a good day,’ ‘Did you have a good day?’” Kendra was saying about the complete lack of communication between her and Hefner, and all those living at the Mansion in general.

Later on, Kendra apologized for her comments, saying that she had and would always love Hefner, while also never forgetting to appreciate what he had done for her. However, she did not regret leaving him, she added, because, in doing so, she had found the love of her life, Hank Baskett.
