14 DAY TRIAL // A short while back, Hugh Hefner’s longtime live-in girlfriends left the mansion one after another. At the same time, they also left the reality show that was based on their joint life, “Girls Next Door” but, ever since then, speculation that Kendra Wilkinson would get her own show was heard. E! has just confirmed that the former glamour model will get her own series on the network.
While not coming off as quite the most unexpected piece of news, the announcement did not fail to strike a chord with fans of “Girls Next Door,” where Kendra made her television debut. Apparently, according to the network, the series will focus on the model’s post-Playboy life, which will mean audiences will get to see her doing more “regular” chores around the house.
Another thread that will be closely followed in the upcoming series will be that of Kendra planning her wedding to football star Hank Baskett. A tentative release date for the new reality show has been set for fall but, so far, it is not yet known whether shooting for it has already begun or they’re still in the negotiating stage. Either way, from E!’s announcement, “Kendra” will most certainly be a blast.
Just recently, Kendra Wilkinson spoke for the first time about how life with Hugh Hefner at the Playboy mansion was really like, revealing that it was certainly not like it was cracked up to be. Other than the fact that she rarely got to spend any time with the man who was supposedly her partner, Kendra also said that her and the other two girls’ movements were constantly closely monitored by the staff, so that Hefner would always know where they were and for how much time.
With all that, not everything was bad, and she certainly felt sorry when she left the mansion and Hugh. “I hate putting my hand out, but we couldn’t have jobs other than getting appearance fees. Hef was kind of like my best friend, but a sugar daddy at the same time Hef made me feel beautiful. Now I’m totally against his way of life, with three girlfriends and all of that.” Kendra explained.
