At the beginning of June, former Bunny Kendra Wilkinson confirmed that she and fiancé Hank Baskett were expecting a child. Shortly afterwards, the two got married in a beautiful, relatively small ceremony, which is only the beginning of what they hope to be a life away from the prying eye of the media, Kendra says for E! Online.

What got the former Bunny to think of moving away and out of the spotlight was seeing what happened to the Gosselins, and how their reality show, “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” ruined the lives of the two and, implicitly, those of their children. The last thing she’d want, Kendra says, is to have her yet unborn child growing up in the spotlight, with the paparazzi constantly around, like is the case with the Gosselin kids.

In the new interview, Hugh Hefner’s former lover admits that she and Baskett were also fans of the reality show, until things started going really awry and Jon and Kate Gosselin split up. “We don’t watch that anymore. I watched back when it was good and they weren’t all Hollywood. I feel bad for the kids. If we do have a show, none of that’s going to happen... I want to be able to spend quality time with my child and not really give the world too much.” the former glamor model explains.

As fans must know, this is not the first time that Wilkinson says she’s thinking of making sure her baby is not overexposed to the media, since, just recently, she also revealed she would be a strict mother – unlike what we might think of her based on her career so far. Still, Kendra continues to be full of surprises, as the blonde also hints that she and now-husband Baskett were also considering relocating to Philadelphia so as to be allowed to have a normal life and enjoy their baby properly, without being constantly hounded by paparazzi and the media in general.

“I need to get away and hibernate for a little and be a protective mama. I like the energy there [in Philadelphia]. They leave me alone. I feel way more private than here, and that’s what I need. [Afterwards] we’re going to try to get a house to buy and live in with the baby. We’re actually thinking about San Diego County – going back to where I’m from!” the star concludes by saying.
