Jon Gosselin is not alone in dreaming of a career in television once “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” the reality show that made him and his soon to be ex-wife stars, ends. Kate too wants to remain in the spotlight and a career on the small screen is the obvious choice for that to happen. Of course, she’s also eyeing a debut in feature films, saying in a recent interview cited by People that she wouldn’t mind becoming an actress if luck would so have it.

As we also informed you a couple of days ago, Kate appeared on a one-hour special on TLC on Monday to answer questions from viewers and talk a bit about her plans for the future, meaning once the show came to an end in mid-November. During the interview, in which Kate promised she would do her best to answer “all” questions, she also mentioned an intention of making the move from television to film, granted she came across the right offer.

“Answering what she described as ‘any and all reasonable questions’ on the Monday episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate Gosselin refuted allegations she and her now-estranged husband Jon staged their renewal of vows in Hawaii, she insisted her kids were okay on the show – and she left the door open for a second marriage. Despite all the troubles being a reality-show star has brought her, Kate also said she wants to stay in the limelight even after her show goes off the air.” People magazine wrote.

“I’ve done enough years on TV that I feel like it’s a normal, comfortable, natural place to be. I’d love to be in a movie at some point, I’d love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids. I think that would be fun.” Kate said in the one-hour special. As for getting married again, while it’s not something she would want right now, the option of staying single is even scarier. “To be honest, I don’t know [about remarrying]. I really don’t want to be married again, but I don’t want to be alone. The alone-ness is really alone.” Kate added.

Jon Gosselin too is thinking of continuing on television, as also noted above. Not long ago, he was telling the media that he was in no way worried about his financial future, adding he had made the decision to further pursue his career on TV. This, in turn, prompted speculation that he might already have a contract with a network for a new show signed and sealed in his back pocket, but confirmation on that is still pending.
