The TLC-made show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” may come to an end in mid-November, but that’s not to say the world will never see Jon Gosselin on the small screen again. Reports have long circulated about how he plans to start shooting for his own reality show, but, until now, no confirmation for it has been made. In a new interview, it’s Jon himself who states he has plans for a career in television, as the New York Daily News informs.

Since he’s still bound by contract to TLC, which means he’s not free to see to his own projects separately from soon to be ex-wife Kate, Jon can’t offer too many details about the upcoming project either. However, from the little he’s saying, it’s clear he’s not in the least worried about the future and that television is where he’ll continue working. Whether reality television will be his area of activity or not is yet to be seen, though.

“According to Jon Gosselin, we haven’t seen the last of him. Despite getting the boot from TLC when the network announced its relaunch of ‘Kate Plus 8,’ the reality star says his television career is not over. Jon, who has been approached by friend Michael Lohan to join the Celebrity Boxing Federation, told Entertainment Tonight he’ll ‘continue on television’ and that he’s ‘not worried about future employment.’” the NY Daily News writes.

For the time being, though, all plans must be put on hold. Just hours ago, TLC announced that “Jon & Kate Plus 8” would air its final episodes this November, in the hope that the two protagonists would eventually work out through their differences by that time and it would be able to go on with “Kate Plus 8” as initially planned. The decision was prompted by Jon’s “firing” from the original show and his move to block TV cameras from his children’s life, saying it was nothing short of exploitation.

As for what exactly Jon may do next on TV, other reports say he and new friend Michael Lohan are working on “Divorced Dads’ Club,” for which they have already shot a pilot episode that is being shopped around town to all the major networks.
