Next thing you know they'll be writing campfire songs about Nintendo's machine

Nintendo's Wii is close to having novels written about it; songs, poems even. Why, you ask? Well, given that PC Magazine's John Dvorak wrote a pretty juicy article about it, entitled "Ode to the Wii," you may just find the answer to that question. In his article, he boldly declares how he tried as hard as possible to avoid playing on consoles, yet resisting Nintendo's Wii proved to be a tough nut to crack: "Over the years, I've tried as hard as I can to avoid console game-playing machines, but it's nearly impossible with the Nintendo Wii. With that gyroscopic accelerometer controller, which conveys both motion and direction, it offers such an odd and new experience."

Wow, Mr. Dvorak sure knows his technical terms, huh? No questioning whether the man is right or wrong, because everywhere you look, the Wii is on the first place and not only the Wii but everything that has Nintendo written on it, topping sales and everything.

I advise you to read the "Ode to the Wii" article as it is full of Dvorak's pertinent impressions on Nintendo's machine. Heck, maybe you'll even play better afterwards! Anyway, the last paragraph is a good conclusion to the whole story, in case you don't have enough patience: "So my experience with this toy tells me that a fundamental change has taken place in game play-and it's all down to the controller. People were all pumped up about it before it came out, and now I can see why. It changes all the rules and will dominate the future of gaming. You watch."

Again, Nintendo can only enjoy more fame with each passing day, thanks to people like John Dvorak writing Odes to it... 'n stuff.
