Small, fast and fun, that's what Pronto Games are all about

Pronto Games, a very well known mobile game developer and not only is given the privilege to work on a title for Nintendo's Wii. The game is called The Destiny of Zorro and it's due sometime later this year. Although "small, fast and fun" is mostly the definition of a handheld or cell phone game, it doesn't mean the Wii can't benefit from it and Pronto feels all games should be this way.

While some of you will contradict this and some may approve with it, let's break down some of the facts concerning the game. They're not abundant so don't get too excited.

The Destiny of Zorro is all about Pronto's strategy of placing gameplay on top but working with the same amount of interest on other features of the game. Needless to say, graphics will be of high quality along with a great storyline and sound effects. The game doesn't necessarily address a certain gamer category, it will be easy enough to understand even for the youngest of Wii players, and catchy enough to keep more experienced gamers stuck to the screen.

It is Pronto's core belief that video games should be small, fast, and fun and this philosophy describes gameplay as being supposedly simple, yet instantly engaging. Small, in this case, does not refer to the size of the project but more to the approach of using resources and schedule to minimize the size of teams and keep projects from spiraling out of control. They also believe that all games must be basically easy to understand (mechanically speaking).

It wouldn't be such a bad idea to make a Zorro game for a handheld system also, given Pronto's experience with games for handheld/mobile devices and if The Destiny of Zorro is to be a success, whenever it's released, a handheld version will surely emerge.
