Just like everyone else would say, if a celebrity such as Jessica Alba has the slightest thing in common with video games, the news is absolutely certain to hit gaming sites as "breaking". Basically, it's just another good reason to post a sexy picture. This time it's no different and yes, we're talking about Jessica Alba here, the love of many pimple faced adolescents and not only. She plays the DS!

Earlier last week (or was it the week before...? Who cares?!), Internet folks found out that Amerie, a popular R & B singer, is into The Sims big time. Although she is a good friend of Beyonce, she just couldn't convince her to share this passion for video games. Great reason to post a picture of Amerie...!

Now here are Alba's thoughts on video games and why she loves certain Nintendo DS titles: "I have seen myself in video games, like in Dark Angel or the first Fantastic Four game. It's weird. It doesn't seem like me, but it is. It's totally weird. It's like having an action figure. It's super cool." The thing is, not even a real picture of her would look like her on the DS (not many pixels to fit it in) - it would be quite indistinguishable, but don't blame her for not knowing that. She's a celebrity, she doesn't need to worry about things.

In fact, her love for Nintendo's handheld is so great, that she actually bought one for the entire cast of Fantastic Four 2, as Destructoid posts. Again, Alba's comments on this:

"I had my DS on the set of Fantastic Four and I bought it for my entire cast when we wrapped," said Alba. "I guess I just felt bad because between takes they'd be chatting and we were in the Fantasticar and I'd always have my iPod and my DS with me. It was like fingernail-biting, gripping moments in the movie and then, "Cut!" I'd pick up my DS and try to beat my 82 age in Brain Age. I'd try to memorize all of those damn words."

So there you have it. Don't tell me this wasn't good news. OK, so it wasn't such good news after all?
