Let's all gather up and tell Maxis and EA to make a Sims Online

Not that anyone's trying to promote The Sims all of the sudden, but I thought you'd like to hear that female celebrities are into games, just as hardcore nerds are. Not that digging games makes celebrities nerds... OK, I'm losing it here, but it's just that I can't stop staring at this picture of R&B singer Amerie (left, click to enlarge), knowing that she's into games... just like me.

OK, so a couple of billion people out there are into games too, but it's certainly exciting to count down the possibilities. However, not all celebrities are into games, as you might have imagined already. Needless to say that celebrities are people too, and they do somehow make time to play some video games. Other celebrities claim that they don't have time, but Beyonce (friend of Amerie) confidently told her girlfriends that she's just "not into it."

Amerie's statement, as I found posted on Kotaku: "I am addicted to The Sims. I live out a virtual life online. I think it's seriously cool, but I guess it's kind of dorky... I've got Kelly Rowland into it too, and now we hook up in the game. Beyonce tried to join us, but she wasn't into it."

No biggy, I'm sure Beyonce's into other things. Now, all Maxis and Electronic Arts have to do, is release an online Sims game, making it possible for others to interact with each other. Of course, Amerie would stick to the single player mode then.

It's nice to know that celebrities play video games. Kind of shuts everyone's mouth who says that games are "mental masturbation" doesn't it? Not that 1 million of you out there wouldn't want to hear these two words in the same sentence with Amerie. But one thing is for sure though. Beyonce's not into it.
