14 DAY TRIAL // Though Jennifer Love Hewitt and her boyfriend of 7 months Alex Beh have yet to talk marriage, she already has her engagement ring picked out – three of them actually, she tells Ellen DeGeneres on her show.
The star, who has never been married before but who was once engaged, says that she wants to be prepared in the eventuality Beh, or any other man for that matter, wants to pop the question to her.
So, to avoid any embarrassing moment and, most importantly, to avoid breaking the man’s heart by telling him the ring he chose is not to her liking, Jennifer planned ahead and she chose them herself, Us Magazine reports.
As she sees it, she’s actually doing the man in question a huge favor by sparing him the heartbreak and having to spend so much time in jewelry stores, looking at rings.
“I actually have three because I feel like I’m doing the guy a favor,” Hewitt tells Ellen.
Perhaps all women should do the same because they would then spare their man a lot of trouble, both before and after they buy an engagement ring.
“Women are very confusing. We never know what we want and we’re not very good at nailing that down for them. I feel like I don’t want to be upset if he picks a bad ring,” Jennifer says.
As for how she may let her man know that she already has the rings picked out, Hewitt has thought of that too.
“If it gets to that conversation. If marriage comes up, I’m like, ‘You know what’s so weird. There is this store [Tiffany’s] and there are three rings in it... And if you chose one of these three, I’m going to be really excited. And if you go off on your own, we can have an awful, awkward moment. So why would you want to do that?’” the actress says.
