14 DAY TRIAL // They have repeatedly denied any romantic involvement and have even joked about their “affair” in the hope that it would deter the media from writing more stories on it, but Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler still can’t shake rumors of being an item off. Not that they will continue so for long, as a PageSix item claims they’re about to cool off, now that shooting for “The Bounty” has ended.
Butler and Aniston have reportedly been seen holding hands and even kissing on the set of the upcoming film, so there’s no longer any doubt that the romance started when it went into production. However, work on the movie is done and Butler has already left New York, leaving Jennifer Aniston behind. She, in turn, is mortified that their once beautiful love affair will die down because of the distance, PageSix writes, presumably citing sources close to the celebrity couple.
“Jennifer Aniston’s summer of love maybe [sic] over. Filming has wrapped on her new movie, ‘The Bounty,’ and her co-star, Gerard Butler, has flown out of New York with his beloved pug of war, Lolita. Butler and Aniston, who’ve been seen flirting and holding hands between takes, have denied a romance. But sources say Aniston, who moves straight on to promoting ‘Love Happens,’ is fearing that things will cool now that they’ve gone their separate ways.” the infamous tab writes.
However, as we also reported a few days ago, it could very well be that things turn to Aniston’s advantage, as she was in the relationship from the start with the sole purpose of boosting her profile in the media, sources revealed. Apparently, it’s not being in love that prompted the former “Friends” star to seek Butler’s affection, but rather the fact that he is, at this very moment, one of the hottest men in showbiz, therefore a liaison with him would only prompt plenty of publicity.
“Jennifer won’t date a normal guy. She goes after the hottest thing of the moment, what she knows will get her the most time in the spotlight.” a so-called friend of the actress was saying for the tabloid media just days ago.
