14 DAY TRIAL // It’s just days that sources from the set of “The Bounty,” the film currently shooting in New York with Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, stepped forward to dish out on their chemistry offscreen, chemistry that reportedly bespeaks a secret romance they may have started on the set. Over the weekend, the two stars were seen together in Manhattan, holding hands and acting very much like a couple, People magazine says.
The Jane Hotel in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District is, according to the mag, the latest celebrity hotspot, which would explain why Butler and Aniston were also there over the weekend, together with the rest of “The Bounty” cast. Yet, the two stood apart from the crowd in that they very much looked like out on a date, an unnamed source who presumably saw them tells People.
“Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler were seen ‘hand in hand’ this weekend at The Jane Hotel in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, a source tells People. The two are currently filming ‘The Bounty’ in New York City. ‘Jen and Gerry went out on Saturday night,’ says the source, who, noting that the cozy couple were surrounded by such others as Kirsten Dunst, also said Aniston and Butler ‘had cocktails and… They were hand in hand.’” People writes.
Aniston’s rep, however, is adamant that there was no date to speak of, since they had just stepped out for drinks with the rest of the cast. They were not holding hands either, the publicist insists in a statement released for the same magazine, so this is just another report that has come to be because of some people’s overly rich imagination working overtime.
As we also informed you later last week, speculation on whether Butler and Aniston are dating seems to gain intensity, no matter the denials issued on both sides. “We saw him give her a little kiss. They were very lovey-dovey. We watched them at one point start to hold hands, but she pulled back because she realized people were watching. They look like they’re in the beginning phase of a relationship that’s really nice.” a source on the set at the Belmont Park race track parking lot was telling the media the other day.
