Well known primarily for their upstanding Bluetooth headsets, Jabra just announced the availability of a new corded headset developed for those users that like to lead an active lifestyle, the appropriately named Jabra Active featuring a unique design that fits perfectly in the ears no matter what you do.

In order to achieve this, Jabra designed the Active to use some special ear buds that were ergonomically tested in order to stand up to the rigors of sport enthusiasts everywhere.

As a result, the ear buds should never fall out of one's ear no matter what happens, the Active also featuring a sweat and water-resistant design while also offering a superior sound quality and microphone wind-noise reduction.

Furthermore, the headset comes with the same unified control box that Jabra used on some of their other headset solutions, this enabling the user to easily skip tracks and answer calls from the microphone, a pretty neat and convenient feature to have.

A 3.5mm gold-plated plug is used to connect the Active to a wide series of devices, including Apple's iPhone, although the headset isn't limited to the iPhone or iPod, Jabra claiming compatibility with Blackberry, LG and Motorola phones as well as with Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung solutions via an included adaptor.

The Jabra Active is part of Jabra’s new portfolio of corded headsets, this headsets joining the Rhythm and the Chill, each of these solutions being specially designed in order to cater to the needs of a particular type of users.

Available from a wide series of retail stores in the UK, the Jabra Active comes in adventurous yellow and sleek black for just £39.99.

Although it can be called dirt cheap, the Active is pretty affordable for a Jabra solution, especially when considering the high sound quality that is associated with this brand.
