Hands-On Mobile, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment, released Iron Man for mobiles today, a new game based on Marvel's famous (and fictional) Iron Man character. Besides the game, exclusive Iron Man mobile content is available, as of now, from select operators around the globe. In the coming weeks, more carriers will add the Iron Man game and content to their offers.

Presented as a "vertically scrolling shoot 'em-up" game, Iron Man for mobiles features an action that revolves around the plot of the upcoming Iron Man movie. Players will have to control the Iron Man himself, during 4 levels full of action. Helped by weapons like "repulsor rays" and the "unibeam", the Iron Man must visit many dangerous places, while firing at the enemies and trying not to get killed. Gather power-ups (to make your weapons more effective) and destroy all the foes that stand in your way.

"We are thrilled to add Iron Man to our extensive Marvel Mobile catalog. This summer promises to be a blockbuster for mobile content and we look forward to continuing to provide mobile gamers with stylish and exciting content based on the much loved Marvel characters", declared Niccolo de Masi, President of Hands-On Mobile.

Besides "Iron Man", Hands-On Mobile will also release "The Incredible Hulk" for mobiles, a game based on the Marvel Studios film with the same title. Both the film and the game will be released in June.

Simon Philips, President of Marvel International, said: "Hands-On Mobile has created wonderful games for us, including X-Men: The Last Stand and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Both Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk mobile games promise to continue this success with nonstop action and fantastic gameplay. Hands-On Mobile continues to provide the greatest gaming experience for all of our fans."

Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard, Iron Man, the movie, will hit the theaters on the 1st of May in Australia and on the 2nd of May in the US and the UK.
