One of the latest messaging handsets that reached the market in the UK is the INQ Chat 3G, which is now available for purchase from wireless carrier 3. The new mobile phone was announced quite a while ago, and users in the country can enjoy its capabilities on 3's network. The device is available for purchase both on the carrier's website, as well as at 3 stores in the UK.

The INQ Chat 3G comes tot the market with a QWERTY keypad for easy typing, while also including built-in Twitter, Facebook, Windows Live Messenger and Skype. At the same time, those who will purchase the phone will enjoy free push Gmail access, as well as the possibility to enjoy other personal email services, including Yahoo! or Live (Hotmail).

Additional features of the handset are the possibility to sync it with a PC or Mac computer through iTunes and Windows Media Player media syncing capabilities, and it can also be used as a plug and play modem for those who would like to benefit from mobile broadband access on their notebooks. Moreover, it also features a series of customizable colored black covers.

The price tag for the new phone has been set at £99.99 for pre-pay users, but one can also get it with a £15 a month contract through which unlimited texts, Internet access and 3-to-3 calls are available, along with 75 any-network minutes. In addition, users will receive free unlimited Skype-to-Skype calls, as well as access to the Windows Live Messenger when they are in the UK.

“We’ve looked at what a lot of consumers want and haven’t been getting so far from mobile manufacturers – a well priced device built around the internet that does more than voice-and-text. The INQ Chat 3G does it simply and beautifully, with sharp design and packaging,” stated INQ CEO Frank Meehan. “The internet is not an after-thought for us. We started off with the internet in our DNA when we set the company up a year ago. We have developed partnerships with the big internet brands and are delighted with how the INQ Chat 3G delivers the services consumers tell us they care about.”
