What if there's more to the game than what the developers revealed so far?

Metroid was always about finding that secret compartment, item, weapon and so on, but secret messages...? Yes, according to... well, everyone on the Internet plus YouTube, both Satoru Iwata and Shigeru Miyamoto have recorded their voices and implemented them as secrets (easter eggs) in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Check out the video below and see how you can unlock them too.

Both messages are in Japanese of course and although Miyamoto's message hasn't yet been translated up until this point (or released over the Internet for that matter), it has been confirmed that Iwata's message goes a little something like this (translation courtesy of product-reviews.net):

"Hello, this is Iwata from Nintendo. You may not know from an outsider's point of view, but being a director is really hard! When things are really busy and stressful we (us directors) may look tired and sick, then people may feel sorry for us! But in my case, it's the opposite, I get fatter and fatter, so then people don't think I'm stressed at all!"

You can't get more confusing than this. Why would Nintendo's president leave a message that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever within Metroid Prime 3: Corruption? Leaving a message containing a specific term such as "Phazon" (the element around which the game's plot revolves), would make perfect sense, don't you agree?

Or saying something interesting like "Samus' will gain a new ability if the deadliest enemy in the game is shot 5 times in 2 seconds where it hurts the most" if read backwards, again, would make it pretty clear that there's a secret involved.

But the reality is, Iwata was only trying to be funny when stating what you've read above and I have to say it made me laugh a little too. And why wouldn't a nice joke told by the company's president make a good easter egg? The thing is, everyone expected a real secret, which might actually be in the game if the right combination of symbols is typed in...

That's right, go switch on that Wii right now!
