14 DAY TRIAL // In March this year, word got out in the tabs that actress Hayden Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko had rekindled their relationship and had even gotten engaged in secret. If that’s the case, she isn’t saying yet.
E! News caught up with the actress at this weekend’s Billboard Music Awards 2013, which took place in Las Vegas, and asked her directly about the reports.
“No ring,” she said, holding her hand up to show that, indeed, contrary to reports, she wasn’t wearing a huge sparkler that Wladimir might have proposed with.
Hayden walked the red carpet (the blue carpet, better said) alone but she hadn’t attended the gala unaccompanied.
“He's wandering. He's taking my friends out back,” she said for the same media outlet.
While fans may have wished Hayden issued a confirmation of the engagement rumors, it’s still surprising that she addressed them at all.
The pint-sized actress and Wladimir dated once before but broke up because the long-distance relationship had proved too difficult to maintain.
Earlier this year, speculation about a reconciliation started making the rounds and the reports were confirmed when the two stepped out together at a game.
In a following interview, Hayden shyly confirmed that she was back with Wlad, describing the relationship as the “2.0 version” and calling him her best friend.
Shortly afterwards, insides were telling the tabs that they had gotten engaged and were planning a summer wedding.
One such tipster claiming to be a friend of the couple even said that Hayden had decided not to “debut” her engagement ring just yet because she wanted to keep the news out of the pages of the tabloids for another while, as we also informed you at the time.
When Hayden and Wlad broke up in 2011, they had been dating for almost 2 years.
