14 DAY TRIAL // Mythic Entertainment, as the developer, and Electronic Arts, as the publisher, have announced that the MMO Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning should get a special Halloween event, which is set to run from October 23 to November 2 and will offer players a chance to experience fresh quests, get into a new Realm vs. Realm battle and some other items.
The plot of the Daemon Moon Rising quest arc is that Chaos artificers have managed to bound powerful demons to carnival masks which were then smuggled into the realms of the Empire, where the demons can manifest themselves.
Players will be tasked with getting a hold of all the masks and destroying the monsters bound to them. Doing so will get them a Daemon Mask of their own and a chance to acquire the Magus Daemonarium. WAR will also be getting a new public quest, The Daemonball Rally, which will pit Order and Destruction players against one another in a battle to secure the Daemon Cradle.
Jeff Hickman, who is an executive producer for Mythic Entertainment, stated that “This is a terrifying time of year within the world of Warhammer and the Daemon Moon Rising live event is our way of fighting against the darkness that encompasses the land. We call on all players to rise up against the malevolent creatures that threaten the land and keep safe the Realms. But beware, for under the cold, dark madness of the Daemon Moon, anything can happen!”
Other objects that can be obtained by MMO players during the Halloween event for Warhammer Online are: the Fiendfang, which gives a bonus to healing, damage, renown and XP, the Face of the Unborn mask; the Meatcleaver's mask; the Face-Eater’s mask and the Malleus Daemonarium, an artifact housing the actual power of Chaos.
