Lord of the Rings Online might not be as popular as World of Warcraft but it has a steady player base that seems intent on seeing how the MMO proceeds in its quest to follow the Fellowship of the Ring in its adventures. The next step will come with the Siege of Mirkwood expansion, which is set to be delivered on December 3 this year and with the date approaching, Codemasters has announced the pre-order offers for the content for the European market.

Codemasters Online offers a host of ways to get into Mirjwood, with different price points bringing different bonuses to the player. The Standard Edition of the fresh content will cost 19.99 Euro and is set to give gamers a chance to use the Harbinger's Cloak, a piece of equipment delivering an increase in speed.

The Special Edition of Siege of Mirkwood costs 27.99 Euro and should bring players the Cloak but also a unique, unspecified mount. There's also a Platinum Edition, priced at 39.99 Euro, which comes complete with all the previous expansions, as well as the cloak and the mount.

Codemasters is also saying that gamers will be able to pick up a Loot Bag pack, which will offer ten of the in-game items that are most highly valued by players and the Adventure's Pack, which will deliver two new characters slots and a shared storage system allowing for equipment to be moved between the characters that a player has. These cost 4.99 Euro and 6.99 Euro, respectively.

Siege of Mirkwood is set to permit players of the MMO to get to an increased level cap of 65 while experiencing with new traits and skills and to engage in different quests. One of the highlights of the fresh content will be a raid on the fortress of Dol Gulhur.
