Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation and Brightstar Europe announced the signing of a pan-European master partnership agreement aimed at the development of a distribution channel for the handset vendor's accessories line. According to the company, the new agreement is expected to offer existing HTC distribution partners across Europe the possibility to better satisfy the needs of their customers and end-users.

“HTC has become known for the unique experience its mobile phones provide. The same culture of innovative thinking and design is applied to produce a rich portfolio of accessories that complement and extend this experience for the user. We have formed a new partnership with Brightstar Europe to invest in what is an increasingly significant sector for HTC,” Florian Seiche, vice president at HTC Europe commented on the new agreement. At the same time, he said that the new pan-European deal between the handset vendor and Brightstar Europe was expected to offer the accessories team at HTC Europe the possibility to focus more on “the needs of its distribution partners, to better support their businesses.”

The new agreement between Brightstar Europe and HTC also stipulates that the former is the master distribution partner of accessories on the European market for all handsets from the Taiwanese maker. According to the agreement, the partnership is expected to materialize starting with the first quarter of the ongoing year, and it includes accessories for devices like the Android-based HTC Hero and Tattoo, or the Windows Mobile-powered HTC HD2.

Rod Millar, president of Brightstar Europe said, “We are happy that HTC has chosen to partner with Brightstar Europe to accelerate the growth of its accessories business across Europe. By utilizing our state of the art logistics and infrastructure, we believe we can shorten HTC's time to market, satisfy demand and quicken turnaround time by providing significant vendor support to its partner distribution channels.”
