14 DAY TRIAL // When it rains, it pours, and when it comes to the upcoming availability of the already leaked HTC Vigor at Verizon, we can add a new rumor to the list.
The smartphone will arrive on shelves at the wireless carrier under the name of Droid Incredible HD, some of the latest reports on the matter suggest, claiming that Vigor was only a codename for it.
Of course, it is not unusual for HTC to have its devices called one way during the development process and to release them on shelves with totally different names, and Vigor might not be an exception.
In fact, all of the HTC smartphones that leaked on the Internet before turned out to sport different names when brought to shelves, which suggests that the Vigor might indeed sport a different name when released.
However, there is some uncertainly when it comes to the actual name that it will feature, as some of the previous rumors on this also pointed at HTC ThunderBolt 2, given the fact that it might offer LTE connectivity.
Not to mention that there were also those who suggested that the mobile phone might actually be released as Vigor, with a large 4.5'' or 4.7'' screen and a fast 1.5GHz dual-core application processor.
What appears to be the specifications list of this device also emerged into the wild, offering a better look at the phone's capabilities, though it appears that there are some contradictions that might point at a fake leak.
For example, the said document lists the phone with a 4.3-inch screen boasting a WVGA resolution (which is 800 x 480 pixels), and also claims that it is the first handset to sport an HD 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
A possible October 13th release date and other specs of this device are also there (they appear to be in line with what was rumored on Vigor lately), yet we'll still take this with a grain of salt until more info on the handset emerges.
