One of the mobile phones that should soon be capable of making Verizon Wireless' customers very happy would be the HTC Vigor, a handset that already emerged into the wild, and which has been just spotted on the website of a Dutch retailer. The smartphone, a high-end device, was rumored only recently to be on its way to the US wireless carrier, but it seems that it might be launched on shelves in Europe as well.

On the website of The Phone House, the specifications list of the new mobile phone shows that we're about to see the first handset with a HD display being released on the market.

Just as rumored only several weeks ago, the handset is expected to arrive on the market with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display that would sport a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

Of course, nothing was confirmed on the matter for the time being, but there is a great chance that this would indeed become the first smartphone in the world to sport such a high-resolution display.

Moreover, the HTC Vigor is rumored to sport a fast 1.5GHz application processor inside, a dual-core chip, which should also offer increased performance capabilities when compared to what handsets have to offer at the moment.

It should also include an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, most probably with full HD recording capabilities, as well as the usual set or connectivity capabilities, and the like.

According to the said listing on the retailer's website, the new smartphone is expected to arrive on shelves with Google's Android 2.3.4 operating system on board.

What remains to be seen is whether the handset will also sport LTE connectivity, or if HTC and Verizon will release it only with CDMA capabilities.

For the time being, no specific info on when would the smartphone become available for purchase emerged, nor on the price tag it might feature.
