Mobile phone carrier Three UK has just made available for purchase a new Android-based mobile phone on its airwaves, namely the HTC Sensation XL.

The new device went up for sale in the UK today via online retailer Clove, and was also added to Three's lineup, for free on select monthly plans.

Those who would like to purchase the new mobile phone will find it available on monthly plans that start at £34 a month, and was also paired with the wireless carrier's on The One Plan that includes all-you-can-eat data, 2,000 anytime, any network minutes and 5,000 texts.

The HTC Sensation XL can also be purchased on Pay As You Go deals, featuring a price tag of £449.99.

Users can purchase it with options that include all-you-can-eat data along with 300 any-network minutes and 3,000 texts for 30 days for only £15 (other PAYG options are also available for Three UK's customers).

The new HTC Sensation XL is a rather unusual addition to HTC's lineup of Android-based Sensation devices.

The handset features the same design as the HTC Titan that was launched with the Windows Phone operating system on board, but was modified to fit Google's Android platform.

It packs a large 4.7-inch touchscreen display that can deliver an 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) resolution, as well as a single-core 1.5GHz application processor.

Moreover, it was packed with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with back-lit sensor, dual LED flash and support for HD video recording, as well as with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.

The handset will also provide users with great connectivity capabilities, including WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth, as well as with 16GB of internal memory.

Not to mention that it comes with Beats Audio software, the same as the HTC Sensation XE, which arrived on shelves in the UK market only last month, does.
