Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just announced the release of a new device that packs Beats Audio inside, the HTC Sensation XL, and UK carrier Three already unveiled plans to add it to their offering.

The new handset is set to arrive soon on shelves at Three UK, the company unveiled but did not offer a specific release date for it, nor info on the price tag it might feature.

The HTC Sensation XL will hit the shelves with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, and with the aforementioned Beats Audio technology inside.

Sensation XL should be capable of providing users with a great audio experience through the in-ear headphones, UrBeats, the carrier notes, adding that these headphones will be available in the box.

“The HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio is the latest smartphone to satisfy the growing demand for high-quality, on-the-go music,” Sylvia Chind, head of Handsets, Three UK, said.

“Beats audio provides a music experience the way artists intended it to be heard. Coupled with Three’s all-you-can-eat data, our customers can enjoy hours of music, video and gaming with the large 4.7” screen by truly enjoying this new phone without fretting about the costs.”

The specifications list of the new mobile phone also includes a large 4.7-inch WVGA S-LCD touchscreen display, complemented by a fast 1.5Ghz application processor inside for increased performance capabilities.

Moreover, the new device packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, and can offer users the ability to make and receive video calls via a front-facing camera.

The handset also brings along applications such as Spotify, YouTube and BBC iPlayer, fast access to the Internet and to email and messaging, as well as the aforementioned UrBeats in-ear headphones, which are valued at £79.99 RRP (around $125 / 93 Euros).

“Beats Audio is optimized by beats by Dr. Dre headsets, each sold separately,” the wireless carrier also explains.
