There is a high chance for HTC to release a touchscreen smartphone next month, as to freshen up its line of phones. Hints head towards the HTC Nike handset, as this is the company's most taunted device lately.

It was just about time for HTC to make a new launch, as phone models have been piling up, ready to burst at any time. Moreover, the company has managed to arouse everybody's interest with its high end devices, making no compromises on quality. For this reason, a future launch is bound to cause some stir and make an impact on the market.

The smartphone that HTC is preparing for a close launch is capable of supporting 3.5G standard. Moreover, it will also work with TouchFLO interface, just as HTC has promised to do with its future handset releases. The great success that it has managed to register in the case of the HTC Touch handset has made this interface worthy of being further used even in the case of all the future other phone models coming from this producer.

Further hints on this mysterious release show the fact that we are actually talking about the Nike model. This handset is actually a regular looking slider that drops the QWERTY keypad for a regular one. Moreover, there is a high resemblance with the HTC Touch, one that makes it look like a more colorful brother, almost difficult to believe to be true.

What it does keep is the touchscreen performances of its large display and of the TouchFLO interface. The device will also run on Windows Mobile 6 and pack 128 MB ROM, 64 MB RAM and also a microSD card slot. Moreover, the phone will pack a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity.

There's a high chance that HTC Nike will be available sooner than previously expected. These new rumors on a release in September leave little time to wait and make suppositions.
