HTC Advantage has just hit the market and also received pricing. As expected, the device is quite expensive, although Amazon is currently offering it at a lower cost, as part of a special offer.

This HTC smartphone is more of a laptop than a handset, if considering its sizes and performances. Still, it runs on Windows Mobile 6, which definitely earns it a place among the most evolved mobile phones, even if it does not look like one.

It might prove to be quite difficult to carry around, but this drawback receives compensation in the large 5 inch display screen. This turns out to be excellent for viewing images and videos but also for finishing work when out of the office with the help of document editors.

HTC Advantage comes with a hard drive of 8GB, a size rarely seen in most mobile phones. Moreover, it has 256 MB of ROM and 128 MB of RAM, just enough for the applications that the user might want to run on this device. The large keyboard resembles that of a laptop and less of a smartphone, as evolved as it may be. This makes HTC Advantage stand at a borderline where it is neither a phone, nor a laptop, or both.

The device works in GSM networks and also has HSDPA connectivity, which makes it capable of providing the fastest data transfer speeds available. In order to respond to all connectivity demands, it also packs Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi performances, as most evolved smartphones do. This allows the user to benefit from the most efficient business solutions of continuing their work even when out of the office.

Other specifications for HTC Advantage also include GPS services and a MiniSD card slot, for expanding even more the already huge available memory. The device is also equipped with a 3 megapixel camera, capable of providing captures at a quality above average.

HTC Advantage has been released for the price of USD 900. Still, you can now find it on Amazon's website with a 15 percent cut, for only USD 850. For more information on the device, check out our review, here.
