An image of a surprising smartphone coming from HTC has sprung over the Internet lately. Its design looks fresh and specifications are also quite impressive, which hints that we should expect the release of a fairly powerful device coming from this company.

HTC Sedna somewhat breaks the pattern of previous smartphone models coming from this company with an innovative design. Its sides are slightly curved and the few navigation buttons are displayed in a somewhat random order. This gives the handset a modern and appealing look that brings a breeze of fresh air to the vendor's portfolio.

The smartphone looks great in concept and its specifications are even more impressive than the design. It looks like HTC P6550 Sedna will run on Windows Mobile 6, which makes it one of the most evolved devices out there.

It will be using a Qualcomm MSM7200, 400MHz chipset, capable of supporting the user's need for high performances and reliable responses. Moreover, the smartphone will come packed with an internal memory of 256 MB of ROM and 64 or 128 of RAM. This will surely be insufficient for the owner to store all his/her personal data on the device, so an optional 1GB NAND Flash is also available.

HTC Sedna will come equipped with a 3.5 inch QVGA touchscreen, as to provide modern solutions to the user's navigation needs. The large sizes of the display screen will also leave a mark on the overall dimensions of the smartphone, as it will come at 137 ? 72 x 21 mm. That is larger than what HTC has gotten us used to seeing in their products and will surely add in the phone's weight, making it less comfortable than we'd want it to be.

Some interesting features about the HTC Sedna reveal a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, an evolved capture performance. Moreover, the device will also come with A-GPS support and a fingerprint reader for keeping the personal data secured.

Connectivity will be available through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and miniUSB, as most evolved devices manage to provide for their user. One thing that will make many people get excited over this smartphone will be the HSDPA data connection capable of reaching download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.

HTC P6550 Sedna has yet to be officially announced by its producer. Until then, its specifications will continue to leave room for doubts and make it look like a device too good to be true.
