A new HTC concept

A new HTC smartphone has sprung out of nowhere, showing that people at this company are not wasting any time with their new device releases. The new phone has been called Polaris and features some impressive specifications, along with a foggy leaked image of it.

HTC Polaris seems to follow the line set by previous smartphone models coming from this company. It comes with a huge 3.5 inch display screen which is bound to make a difference when it comes to the phone's sizes. Although it packs touchscreen performances, it also has fast navigation keys meant to make the device easier to handle for its user.

The phone is said to work with Windows Mobile 6 installed, one of the most evolved mobile operating systems at this time. The hardware side proves to be quite important too. It comes packed with a Qualcomm MSM7200 at 400 MHz, 256 of ROM and 128MB RAM, more than enough for what most users might need from their devices.

The smartphone also packs a 3 megapixel camera, meant to provide captures at a quality above average. Media and personal data files can be stored on a MicroSD expansion slot. Moreover, they can be transferred from the personal PC with the help of a USB 1.1.

HTC Polaris also comes with GPS performances, as more and more devices do nowadays. Connectivity is also available through Bluetooth and Wireless LAN. The fact that it also brings HSDPA performances makes this smartphone excellent for reaching data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps.

There is a high chance that HTC Polaris will also feature HTC Touch's evolved interface. The company has considered introducing the TouchFlo technology in all its future handsets and this one should make no difference. Looks like a nice concept coming from HTC, although there are slim chances to see it hit the markets in the near future.
