14 DAY TRIAL // Wireless carrier Vodafone UK has made the Android 2.1-based HTC Legend mobile phone available for pre-order on its website, enabling those who are interested in one of the latest handsets released with Google's mobile operating system on board to order one in advance. The handset is set to arrive in users' hands as soon as April 6, one week from now, to be more precise.
The new device was officially announced back in February, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and it is the device HTC packed with Android and delivered for the mass market. Based on the latest flavor of the platform, the new phone comes with a unique form factor as well, due to the fact that it has been built out of a single piece of aluminum.

The HTC Legend sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper with flash and video recording, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with pinch to zoom, support for Adobe Flash. It has been pre-loaded with a Vodafone 360 home screen and also includes Stereo FM radio, Quad-band connectivity, Wi-Fi built-in GPS receiver, 3G capabilities, Bluetooth, 512MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.
At the same time, the handset will bring together emails, texts, picture messages, chats and updates from Facebook or Twitter in a single view, not to mention that it comes with appealing multimedia capabilities as well, including video and music players. The HTC Legend is available from Vodafone UK for free upon the signing of a 24-month agreement with the carrier on a £25 per month plan (which also includes 300 anytime minutes and Unlimited inclusive texts).
